ABOUT ME
Renita E. is a 17-year-old grade 12 student at St. Augustine High School. Her blog consists of the many compelling works of literature she learned about in her twelfth-grade english class, along with connections between the texts from a personal to a global scale. She has her certifications in first aid training, bronze medallion, bronze cross, and she participated in her school’s swim team for 3 years. In her spare time she enjoys playing playing piano, photography, and attending Toronto Symphony Orchestra performances each month.
Renita completed a program at U of T which offers high school students–who are interested in the medical field–an opportunity to enrich their understanding on introductory major medical disciplines. While in the program, her along with two of her peers developed a presentation for an audience of over 200 people which included competition judges, students, medical professionals, and parents. Her team received first place.
Once she graduates from high school, she is determined to spend 2 years on her education in Toronto studying pre-medicine. From there she plans on attending a medical school in the Caribbean where she can pursue her lifelong dream of becoming a doctor.
